New 1930's shape unlined blazer grey green size 38 40

Here we have a new sample we had made to copy a fantastically proportioned jacket we bought, dating from the early 30's and made in Iraq. The shape has to be tried on to be appreciated but its essentially a short body ventless, drop shoulder ( they're kicking up in the photo because its a little tight on the mannequin and new), wide lapel 30's college blazer in design with finished seams and some nice inner construction details. We're really happy with the copy, they've got the armpit height , sleeve shape and shoulder seam spot on. It took quite a bit of arm twisting but has really worked. 

 The cloth is a brushed ( inside) soft canvas with a little stretch in, it was really just a piece of cloth we had spare but its perfect for an everyday comfortable jacket, and in theory you can throw it in the wash, although we've not tried this yet so take care if you do.

sleeve - 24

shoulder - 17.5

length - 28.5

Armpit to armpit  - 20

Fit - almost a 40, a 40 can wear it given the slight stretch but if you wish to wear a sweater or waistcoat then a 38.
