Vintage 1930's black day & evening waistcoat size 42

For sale here we have something very interesting, if you have been looking at vintage clothes all your life (!), probably not otherwise..... Its a black waistcoat half way between a day waistcoat and an evening waistcoat. I.e it has a low 5 button fasten ( dinner are low 3 or 4) but no lapel but also isn't quite a 6 button high fasten day waistcoat. Almost like its for the economical man wanting to cover all bases with one item. Made in a napped doe skin. Hard to date but  the excellent condition probably hides the fact that its fairly old, probably early 30's and at a guess French.
